Weiler's forestry division has roots that trace back through several acquisitions. The modern Weiler Forestry operation is built on the Prentice brand — one of the oldest names in log loaders and forestry equipment. They manufacture in Knoxville, Tennessee, which puts them right in the heart of southeastern logging country.
The S-series skidders are their flagship product. The S250 and S350 are particularly popular with smaller to mid-size logging contractors. They compete with CAT and Tigercat on price and have built a reputation for being straightforward machines that are easy to work on.
Weiler also makes trailer-mounted loaders that carry the Prentice heritage. The 2384 and 2484 loaders are standard equipment at landings and mill yards across the South.
